iPhone Dev-Team has released an update for Apple iOS 4.3.2 unther jailbreak:

Taken directly from iPhone Dev-Team Site:

The untether rolls on

Only a few weeks after the 4.3.1 untether created by @i0n1c was released, Apple
pushed out firmware 4.3.2. Thankfully, it appears Apple didn’t have a chance to
fix the hole used by @i0n1c’s untether, so he ported his code over to 4.3.2’s
kernel.  Today’s redsn0w has been updated to include it.

The 4.3.2 untether works on all devices that actually support
4.3.2 except for the iPad2:

  • iPhone3GS
  • iPhone4 (GSM)
  • iPod touch 3G
  • iPod touch 4G
  • iPad1

redsn0w 0.9.6rc13:

As always, ultrasn0w unlockers should stay away from redsn0w and only
update their firmware through a custom IPSW.
We’ll release a new
version of PwnageTool sometime this week.

Note that many people are currently having problems updating to 4.3.2
through saurik’s server.
You’ll need to remove the gs.apple.com entry
in your hosts file in order to restore directly to Apple’s servers.

Apple just released 4.3.2 to fix bugs.

“Contains the latest security updates ” pretty sure this is a jailbreak fix so stay away!

It’s close to a week that many of us has waited for a fix for iOS 4.3.1 no signal or 1 signal issues if you installed PushFix.info temp fix. It’s a happy day for us all! Dev-Team has finally released a fix for it.

Dev team has provided the following information on their blog:

We’ve pushed out the 4.3.1 compatibility fix for ultrasn0w in Cydia — it’s now at version 1.2.1.  If you’re not already at 4.3.1 and you need the unlock, please be sure you understand how to get to 4.3.1 using a custom IPSW that doesn’t update your baseband.

This isn’t a new unlock!  It’s to allow those who are already using ultrasn0w to use FW 4.3.1. It also fixes the signal bar issue for those who aren’t using the unlock but retain an older baseband intentionally.

AFTER INSTALLING ULTRASN0W 1.2.1, PLEASE REBOOT YOUR iPHONE using the normal “slide to power off” swipe.  T-Mobile users in the USA also should disable 3G mode in Settings->General->Network.

A big thanks to @sbingner and @ronaldsb for helping with the testing of this update!

Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 can be installed on a jailbroken iPhone 4 (baseband 01.59.00) or iPhone 3GS (baseband 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00) on iOS 4.3.1. Note: You can find your iPhone’s baseband by going to Settings –> About –> Modem Firmware

Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 can’t unlock iPhone 4 basebands – 02.10.04 (bundled with iOS 4.1), 03.10.01 (bundled with iOS 4.2.1), 04.10.01 (bundled with iOS 4.3) or iPhone 3GS basebands – 05.14.02 (bundled with iOS 4.1), baseband 05.15.04 (bundled with iOS 4.2.1), baseband 05.16.01 (bundled with iOS 4.3) and baseband 05.16.02 (bundled with iOS 4.3.1).

iPhone users who don’t care about unlocking but want to fix the signal bar issue also need to install Ultrasn0w 1.2.1.

If you meet the baseband requirements then you can follow these steps to unlock your jailbroken iPhone or fix the signal bar issue (T-Mobile USA users should disable 3G before using Ultrasn0w):

  1. Launch Cydia from the homescreen.
  2. Tap on the Search tab and search for ‘ultrasn0w’. That last “o” is actually the number zero “0”. If you use the letter “o” you’ll get an error.
  3. Select ultrasn0w from the search results.
  4. Then tap on the Install button.
  5. Tap on the Confirm button.
  6. You will be prompted to Restart SpringBoard, tap on it.
  7. Reboot your iPhone, your iPhone should now be successfully unlocked or the signal bar issue should be fixed.

As always, let us know how it goes.

Dev-Team has just released an update to fix any boot animation problems!

Download it now
redsn0w_0.9.6rc12: (rc12 should fix any lingering issues with the boot animation)

The United States Senate has announced that hearings will be held by the Senate Judiciary committee into the T-Mobile acquisition to determine if consumer competition would be reduced in light of the merger. It’s fine and good to see that the Senate is taking up the proposed merger however the same situation occurred in the very same committee with the Comcast-NBC merger and that was ultimately approved so I’d keep any expectations in check.

Still, if you’ve been wanting to write to your Senator or Congressperson, now would be a really good time! Hearings will begin May 11th.

Dev-Team has just related updates to fix bugs in previous version. Check it out!

Update #1:

Those running redsn0w may have noticed we enabled too many Settings options
in some versions of the jailbreak (for instance, what you want your side switch
to do, even if you have no side switch because you’re not using an iPad).
Release rc10 of redsn0w corrects that (you can just run it over your existing
jailbreak…be sure to de-select Cydia to avoid package conflicts).
Along the way, we’ve also added the option to enable boot animations…these
animations can be installed via Cydia, but be sure to select which animation to
use via the Settings->Bootlogo setting after you’ve downloaded an animation
(and again, you can just run rc10 rc11 over your existing
jailbreak…be sure to de-select Cydia to avoid package conflicts).

(The boot animation we tested against was “Android Boot Logo”.  It correctly
installs all the dependencies needed to run the animation at each boot).
